World of Warcraft Classic just increased the Season of Discovery experience boost by an additional 50% across all levels. This increase will make leveling in World of Warcraft Classic Season of Discovery even easier for players, whether they are just getting started, catching up, or rolling new characters.

During the new campaign quests for World of Warcraft Patch 10.2.7, Dark Heart, players unlock five new Void Elf-themed transmogs and a Dragonriding drake customization. Though these new World of Warcraft cosmetics match the Void Elf Heritage armor perfectly, characters can use these items regardless of race.

After much consideration, the Season of Discovery team has determined that the populations of the Lava Lash (US), Lava Lash (EU), and Chaos Bolt (EU) servers are too low. In order to create healthier communities, Blizzard is closing these realms to new accounts and opening transfers to other realms. Players currently on these realms will have the option to transfer to the Wild Growth PvE or Crusader Strike RP-PvP servers of their respective regions.

In The War Within, Engineers will be able to craft Potion Bombs, powerful external potion buffs that augment small groups of players within range. These Potion Bombs currently come in three different types: DPS, Movement Speed, and Healing. Using a Potion Bomb is simple — use it as you would any other consumable, choose your target area, and buff your allies while damaging enemies caught in the radius. While Engineers are the only ones able to produce these new support consumables, anyone — even non-Engineers — can use them to help their group. Today Christie Golden, writer, author, and storyteller, announced on Twitter that she is no longer an employee at Blizzard and was let go in the last round of layoffs. Golden has been working on Blizzard IPs for over 25 years, the last 6+ directly as an employee on Blizzard's Story & Franchise Development Team. While never an employee on the World of Warcraft team directly, Golden contributed cinematic scripts and short stories for the franchise while at Blizzard. Today is the final day of Plunderstorm, with roughly 14 hours left to finish farming renown before the limited-time event leaves our shores! BlizzCon, Blizzard's annual get-together for fans of their games, was halted by the pandemic in 2020 and only returned as a physical event last year. One year later, it is cancelled again, Blizzard have announced.

Blizzard Entertainment has canceled this year’s fan convention BlizzCon, which was expected to be held in Anaheim, California in November. The company, which is now owned by Microsoft, announced the cancelation on Thursday, but promised to bring the event back “in future years.”

Blizzard just announced it will not be holding a BlizzCon event in 2024. Though this unfortunate news may disappoint fans, Blizzard will be appearing at Gamescom, Dreamhack, and other live events instead.

Blizzard Entertainment has announced that it won’t host BlizzCon this year. The annual event washosted for the first time in person last year since 2020 and was seemingly on the verge of a comeback. Though not meant to be, the company told IGN it’s not a decision “made lightly.”

The War Within brings changes throughout Azeroth, and Professions are no different! With the traditional new expansion Profession update, Gathering and Crafting Professions are seeing new recipes, new Knowledge Point trees, and fun new interactions for players to explore within the crafting systems. One such interaction comes from Cursed Enchantments — the first Enchantments to ever have a Kiss-Curse mechanic in World of Warcraft. Kiss-Curse mechanics are commonly referred to when players experience a large potential downside to a beneficial upside on an item or effect. While previous items in Dragonflight had minor Kiss-Curse mechanics, such as Toxic Thorn Footwraps reducing Stamina by 61, the positives far outweighed the negatives, leading to very powerful, sometimes BiS items. These new Cursed Enchantments, however, will require a bit more thought and caution — while you'll gain a significant amount of a secondary stat of your choice depending on the Enchantment, you'll also lose a large amount of another secondary stat.

Some World of Warcraft fans think the apparent August 19 end date for WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria might coincide with the beginning of The War Within Pre-Patch event. If this speculation proves to be true, World of Warcraft players may be able to narrow in on a release window for The War Within itself.

World of Warcraft Classic's Season of Discovery has brought many changes into the Classic world, including new raids, items, and a whole lot of new class spells through the rune system, but some things truly never change. It is always a debate whether the Horde or Alliance are the most powerful faction. In this article, we'll examine the strengths, weaknesses, and differences of the two factions in Season of Discovery. When we talk about comparing the Alliance and the Horde, there are two main things that differentiate them. The first and most important is that in the Vanilla versions of the game before The Burning Crusade Expansion, only the Horde had the Shaman class and only the Alliance had the Paladin class, and the same holds true in Season of Discovery. Both classes offer considerable buffs to the party and can fulfill a damage dealer, healer, or tank role — but do so in very different ways. The second difference is the racial abilities available to the races of each faction. Powerful activated abilities like the human racial Perception define Horde vs Alliance PvP involving stealth classes. Undead's Will of the Forsaken wreaks havoc on enemy Warlocks and Priests, significantly hindering their ability to control the Undead player. The racial bonuses don't just influence player versus player combat though, and the historically strong PvE Human racial Sword Specialization may be overshadowed by increased availability of weapon skill in Season of Discovery.

The dashing, daring, and dazzling Blingtron -- he insisted on that introduction -- will frequently bless us with his presence in Warcraft Rumble; his first appearance will be on April 24.
