Fallout hype is truly inescapable at this point, with the TV show driving popularity and Fallout 4 even getting its long-awaited next-gen update (even if the latter has been considered rather disappointing by many). One way or another, everyone is trying to live their best post-nuclear apocalypse life right now, and this enormous mod for Fallout 4 looks like it'll enable us to do just that. 

Arrowhead Game Studios has shared yet more fan art of Helldivers 2's beloved Eagle-1 pilot, while insisting that she and the other Eagle pilots haven't been "physically augmented" in order to better deliver Managed Democracy.

Metaphor: ReFantazio might not be a Persona game, but developer Atlus is keeping up a trend solidified by its beloved JRPG series by making its user interface absolutely gorgeous, and fans say it's a great example of why UI designers deserve to be paid generously.

It's fantastic news for any hardcore fans of PlayStation's somewhat forgettable loyalty program, as it's now possible to grab a copy of Helldivers 2 without spending any extra money. Unfortunately though, that's assuming that you've already spent lots of money in the last year and a half, to the point where claiming this reward really doesn't seem realistic for a lot of people.

The last few days have been rough for Helldivers 2 players, to say the least. As the weekend began, we were hit with a new Major Order – halt the Automaton advance and hold the Menkent line, maintaining complete control over Menkent and Lesath in the process. It's just two planets, so simple enough, right?

Star Wars Outlaws is set to launch later this year, and beyond offering an open world to explore, it's also going to allow players to step into the shoes of a scoundrel named Kay Vess. Needless to say, it's shaping up to be quite a departure from the lightsaber-swinging action we're used to from the recent Star Wars Jedi games, but the creative director of Outlaws says that the idea of having Jedi at the forefront of the game "didn't even enter the picture."

The live-action Fallout TV show has caused a huge rise in popularity for Bethesda's beloved RPG series, with concurrent player counts on the rise on Steam. Amongst the excitement, one Fallout lead has shared a previously unknown snippet of information connecting the original game to Fallout 4, but he's quickly backtracked on it due to how the fanbase received it.

It's bad news for interstellar fashion icons everywhere, as Helldivers 2's creative director confirms that Arrowhead isn't planning to add transmog options to the hit shooter because it just "doesn't make sense."

Final Fantasy fans have a lot to unpack today, as the Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Ultimania book has now launched in Japan, giving us more juicy details about the recent RPG as well as the next chapter in the Remake trilogy. Notably, we've gotten a little more indication as to how long we can expect to wait for Part 3, even if no release window has been confirmed yet.

Baldur's Gate 3 had a very successful night at the BAFTA Game Awards, taking home not just the Best Game award, but also accolades for the best music, narrative, and even players' choice. Speaking about the players' choice win, the CRPG's publishing director, Michael Douse, says it's "a testimony to the fact that a developer is not a dispensable asset."

It might not be very democratic to say it, but it's always been pretty obvious that Helldivers 2's prosperous planet of Super Earth might not be the kindest place in the universe. From the game's in-universe propaganda, the denial of information like the existence of flying bugs, and the fact that Helldivers are treated so poorly, the signs have always been there – just don't tell them I said that. 

Helldivers 2's popularity continues to be immense, and one senior game designer at Naughty Dog has been gushing about what they believe to be the main reason why – its focus on immersion. 

Earlier this week, the servers supporting online services for all 3DS and Wii U games met their end. Although it's a sad time for anyone who has a place in their heart for the games affected, the community efforts that have followed since are so wholesome that it almost makes the whole thing worth it. It's truly the end of an era for Nintendo fans, as online services for 3DS and Wii U have finally shut down. With it, we say goodbye to online multiplayer for the likes of Splatoon, Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Pokemon X and Y, and Xenoblade Chronicles X, with everything shutting off for good at 5pm PT/8pm ET yesterday (or 1am GMT this morning for UK folks). 

Diablo 3 may no longer be the newest ARPG on the block, but that doesn't mean that its fans and developers are done thinking about it. One of its former developers has been discussing the key design decisions that went into it, in fact, and comparing it to 11th Hour Games' Last Epoch, which launched to immediate success back in February, with players quick to point out the similarities between it and the Diablo series. 

Baldur's Gate 3's Honor Mode is a truly brutal way to play the enormous RPG, with tougher foes, a single save slot, and the constant threat of having to start over if your party gets wiped. A momentary lapse in judgment can mean losing hours of progress, and one player has suffered exactly that at the hands of an NSFW scene they were too thirsty to ignore. 

There's no denying Baldur's Gate 3's massive popularity, and its director of publishing, Michael Douse, has drawn comparison between it and the survival crafting game Palworld for finding success with a game that not all investors might have taken a chance on. 

We might not know the cast behind GTA 6's main characters yet, but we do know one person who's certainly not the voice of the mysterious male character seen in the upcoming action game's first trailer. 

Stardew Valley 1.6 is jam-packed with new content to delve into and fresh secrets to discover, and one of the best ones is seemingly a direct reference to one of the glitches removed in the very same update.

The constant battle to spread Managed Democracy in Helldivers 2 can be hard to keep up with at times. While the ever-evolving fight and story is a huge part of what makes Arrowhead's third-person shooter so damn good, I'm sure many of us would be hard-pressed to recall exactly what happened on each planet every day. 

Despite Helldivers 2 players being encouraged to move away from their enthusiastic bug-squashing in favor of some brutal bot-smashing, there are still a surprising amount of Helldivers not joining in on the latest Major Order, which isn't very democratic of them. 

It's big news for Helldivers 2 players as sex has seemingly been unbanned, just days after many loyal Helldivers received in-game messages telling them that all procreation applications were being denied. 

Evil Baldur's Gate 3 players, rejoice. It's been confirmed that developer Larian Studios is currently working on expanded "evil endings" for the beloved RPG, some of which are apparently "very evil." Juicy.

It finally happened – Jennifer English, Shadowheart's actor in Baldur's Gate 3, has reached the iconic fight scene between her high half-elf and the Githyanki warrior Lae'zel, which she and her real-life partner have hailed as "the most sapphic scene" in the game. 

Dragon's Dogma 2 has been out and in players' hands for almost a week now, and it's fair to say that although it launched to incredibly positive critic reviews, certain elements haven't been received fantastically by the fanbase. The action-RPG was immediately hit with backlash for its microtransactions, and plenty of people have been left frustrated by the deadly Dragonsplague mechanic, too. 

Helldivers 2 players have been issued a brand new Major Order, and it seems it's taking direct aim at all of the dedicated bug-squashing fans who aren't so enthusiastic about spilling oil from the deadly Automatons. 

If you've been keeping up with the latest Dragon's Dogma 2 discourse, chances are, you've already heard of Dragonsplague. The contagious in-game illness, which can spread from Pawn to Pawn between players' games, has become a major talking point solely due to how severe its consequences can be if left unchecked. 

At long last, Baldur's Gate 3's physical PC Deluxe Edition has begun making its way into fans' hands, and for anyone who loves filling their shelves with games, this one is an absolute beauty. Especially if you're someone who already owns boxed editions of other classic Dungeons & Dragons RPGs.

Baldur's Gate 3 is an enormous game, with so much content it still feels like we could keep uncovering new lines of dialogue and secrets for months, if not years to come. However, it shouldn't come as too much of a surprise that plenty of content was cut from the final release, too, including several explorable locations, such as the first area in the original Baldur's Gate – Candlekeep.

There are few individuals as mysterious as Helldivers 2's galactic game master Joel – the man pulling all the strings of the war, constantly working to evolve the third-person shooter's evolving narrative, as well as issuing Major Orders to us all. 

The Dragon's Dogma 2 community has been left shaken by the existence of Dragonsplague – a deadly illness introduced in the sequel that can result in entire towns being killed. Left unchecked, the contagious disease –  which can be spread game-to-game by hiring infected Pawns – has the potential to result in numerous NPCs, including important quest-givers, being wiped out overnight. 

David Gaider, the creator of Dragon Age's setting, has spoken out against the current state of the games industry, and the "fear" developers have of needing to crunch to make enormous games as if it's the only way forward. He believes that "it doesn't have to be that way," but that if it did, "maybe the industry deserves to die."

It's only been a few days since Dragon's Dogma 2 finally launched, and despite receiving some incredibly positive critic reviews and breaking records for Capcom on Steam, it's not all been smooth sailing. There's been backlash over the microtransactions on offer, and now, there's also mass panic over the existence of a deadly plague that can result in the death of all the NPCs in a town. 

Persona 3 Reload is far from what you'd consider to be a short game. Much like the majority of the Persona series, players can expect to spend hours of their time plugging away through the lengthy story, interacting with characters, and engaging in side-content. 

Popular Pokemon fan website Relic Castle, which has been running since 2014, has been taken offline after those in charge of it allegedly received a DMCA takedown notice. The website previously functioned as a forum for Pokemon fans to talk, as well as a place to share fan-made Pokemon games.

It's been a turbulent few days in the Helldivers 2 community. The Nintendo Switch emulator Suyu, which was released earlier this month as a replacement for the struck-down Yuzu, has been removed from GitLab due to an alleged DMCA takedown. However, it's still not clear who issued this notice.

It was initially rather surprising when Moon Studios, well known for developing the beloved Metroidvania games Ori and the Blind Forest and its sequel, announced that its next game isn't a Metroidvania at all. No Rest for the Wicked is an action-RPG not unlike Diablo, but the devs have reassured that it's "much more Metroidvania" than most games in the genre.

Stardew Valley's new 1.6 update has completely taken over the internet, with cozy gaming fans and farming enthusiasts alike barely able to handle the sheer excitement that can only be triggered by a content update that allows you to put hats on dogs.

Dragon's Dogma 2 is almost upon us, and early review scores have already placed it significantly higher than its predecessor – an enticing thought for fans of the original. While critics have been full of praise for it, however, some concerns have been raised about the RPG's framerate on PC, which is reportedly a bit shaky in places. 

Pokemon players have come up with some truly weird and wonderful ways of playing the beloved RPG series over the years, from the popular permadeath "nuzlocke" challenges to even more brutal Kaizo Ironmon runs. Now, though, one player has managed to complete one of the most bizarre challenges we've ever seen by playing through the Game Boy Advance classic Pokemon Sapphire 100 times simultaneously.

At this point, Overwatch 2 has become notorious for its expensive cosmetics. It's not at all unusual to see skins available to buy that cost roughly $25, which is a considerable price for a single in-game outfit. To put it into perspective, that's $5 more than the price of the original Overwatch's standard edition back before the free-to-play sequel replaced it.

It's a rather sad time to be a Nintendo fan nostalgic for the 3DS and Wii U era of games. In less than three weeks, the online servers for all games on the consoles will be shut down for good, making an enormous number of online modes for fan-favorite games unplayable forever.

It's a great day for free-to-play Overwatch 2 players, but not so much for those who've been spending money on the first-person shooter to get access to new heroes as soon as possible. Blizzard has confirmed that from Season 10 onwards, new playable characters will be distributed to everyone instantly, preventing paying players from accessing new heroes faster than free-to-play users.

An exceptionally talented MMO fan has been working on what might just be the ultimate mashup project, by recreating RuneScape bit by bit using World of Warcraft assets. Not only is it seriously impressive, but the creator plans to make it playable, and the alpha build is closer than you might expect.

It's finally happening—around a year and a half after its early access launch, Overwatch 2 is removing all of its heroes, new and old, from its Battle Pass. This means that free-to-play players will soon be able to instantly access new heroes at the same time as those paying for the Premium Battle Pass without spending a penny.

Less than a week after its incredibly shaky launch, Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection's first update is here. As well as removing a handful of crashes introduced in the re-release, Aspyr has also rolled out a fix for a bug that's been lurking in the original Battlefront 2 since 2005. Better late than never, right?

Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection hasn't had what anyone could call a good start, launching with major server issues and an enormous file size around eight times the size of both original games put together. Now, though, it's also been claimed that there's another large problem – allegedly, the collection launched with fan-made mod content included, which hasn't been credited. 

Helldivers 2 is full of powerful weapons to smash up bots and squash bugs, ranging from satisfying firearms to explosive orbital strikes that often do more harm to you and your team than the actual enemies. Out of them all, though, one weapon stands out to game director Johan Pilestedt for having the best design.

Helldivers 2's opening cinematic is iconic, and does an incredible job of setting up the third-person shooter's humorous satirical tone. In under two minutes, the in-universe recruitment ad tells you everything you need to know about the fight for sweet liberty and the camaraderie of Super Earth citizens, complete with dramatics that are so bad they're good. 

On the near first anniversary of first-person dungeon adventure Dark and Darker's removal from Steam, developer Ironmace has announced its launch on the Epic Games Store. 

The Helldivers 2 community is a fun place, especially when players remain as enthusiastic about the prosperity of Super Earth on social media as a real Helldiver would out on Erata Prime. There's no doubt the developers encourage this, with game director Johan Pilestedt recently branding the footage of flying Terminids as "propaganda from bug sympathizers" and refusing to acknowledge their existence.

The solo dev behind the indie poker roguelike Balatro is disappointed over how games with "actual gambling mechanics" are given age ratings, after seeing their own game's rating skyrocket due to gambling-related concerns. This came despite the fact that Balatro doesn't actually feature gambling, and the developer is strictly against it.
