Mars Express, the debut feature from French animator-director Jérémie Périn, is further proof of the connection, by taking the basic elements of a Chinatown-esque story about a missing person and a deadly conspiracy, and iterating on them in the far-flung world of colonized space filled with sentient machines and bleeding-edge technology.

"Nosophobia" is the fear of disease, "bathophobia" is the fear of depths, and "devlogphobia" is a mixture of nosophobia and bathophobia produced by reading Steam posts about Norland, a systems-rich and plague-ridden medieval colony sim from developers Long Jaunt and Hooded Horse, publisher of Manor Lords. Norland is sort of The Sims meets Dwarf Fortress meets RimWorld. It gives you charge of several new kingdoms that have sprouted from the corpse of a fallen Empire and are now feuding for supremacy.

What a week it has been, with the sun finally showing its face again after a chilly April for the UK. We’ve still had plenty of time to play games though, and I’ve been continuing to plug away at Fallout 4 and No Rest for the Wicked, as well as taking some time to chill out with Endless Ocean: Luminous which is just a little bit too calm for its own good. Besides that I’ve made a start on Sand Land for our review which will appear after the weekend.
You can get me to do a lot of things if you just toss a collectible card system into it. The rush of opening a pack, or the satisfaction of browsing dozens of card illustrations, and the thrill of discovering a brand new card could make even doing your taxes entertaining. Whether it’s in a physical card game or a genre-bending video game, card collecting is always a delight. So I was pretty excited when I saw Dungeon Drafters, a game seemingly blending all the best parts of turn-based roguelikes and Mystery Dungeon thrills with a robust card system.

At the height of John Green’s popularity, most people knew the YA author for a very specific genre: sad teen books, usually about shy-yet-pretentious boys in love with spirited yet emotionally available girls. That was always a derogatory oversimplification of Green’s novels, which often deconstruct common YA tropes more than they give into them. But years of warped online perspectives on Green’s work, heightened by aesthetic Tumblr posts and Pinterest mood boards, meant that when the 2014 movie adaptation of Green’s tragic teen romance The Fault in Our Stars came out, the were calcified, preconceived notions of what a John Green Book™ was. (Never mind thatThe Fault in Our Stars flipped the gender roles, with a reserved girl and a vivacious boy.)

Some fans have now managed to get the game running within Persona 5 Royal.

Now that the belated “next-gen” Fallout 4 update has finally arrived (nearly four years into said generation), Bethesda has at last offered up and enhanced way to play on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5. However, the bar was already set fairly high by the excellent Xbox Backward Compatibility programme, of which Fallout 4 was an early beneficiary: thanks to the Xbox One X 4K patch and then the FPS boost, we already had the choice of whether to run in high frame rate or resolution modes (not both) on Xbox Series X and Series S. At least, that’s the idea. Currently it’s a bit broken on Xbox, but we can expect it to run as well as the PlayStation 5 version soon, and the improvements there are welcome.

I didn't have a Game Boy Camera as a lad, partly because I couldn't afford one, and partly because my "friends" used to troll me ("bullying", I think we called it back then) about my Game Boy. Amongst other things, they'd reach over and flick the power off while I was playing The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening. I didn't finish that game for 15 years. I'd flown the family nest before I braved the Eagle's Tower. Can you imagine what my friends would have done if I'd owned a Game Boy Camera? Probably, they'd have taken photos of... bottoms with it, and such.

is the best-selling title FromSoftware has ever developed, taking the soulsborne games into uncharted territory with its open world. Thanks to this, it is the most approachable of the titles, while managing to keep the famously crushing difficulty that soulslike games are known for. With a project as large as ,there are going to be some growing pains that prevent the game from being perfect. Sometimes, that can be too many reused assets, while other times it can be the balancing of certain enemies.
The series deserves far better treatment than it has recently been receiving. Most are aware by now that has failed to impress both critics and players alike. Repetitive gameplay and microtransactions aside, its cringe-inducing story was an additional disappointment. For some, has missed its mark so drastically that it should not even be considered canon alongside the celebrated games that came before it. Player counts on Steam have remained at rock bottom, and even the recently released Joker DLC has failed to make a considerable difference in public interest.
