I searched high and low for the best possible price for a new XBox 360 game console. And every search brought me back to Amazon.com.

I tried ebay, and thought I was going to get one for cheap. A brand new XBox 360 pro bundle for $175. Yes, sir! Five minutes left to go on a no reserve auction and I was the high bidder at $175. Funny though.... It seemed after it hit the 5 minute mark the price started to climb. It was up to about $450 before I left in disgust. I can see many of you shaking your heads and thinking "newbie."

It's true... It has been a few years since I had even been to ebay... Things have changed.

Now like I said, I did a lot of searching. I even checked out some of the fake wholesale dealers and drop-shippers. The best price I found from them was about $350 before shipping.

On a whim I checked out some of my true wholesale sources and found prices as low as $150 for a core unit, but as I was not in the market for a ten unit minimum purchase I just shook my head and moved on. And as i said, all roads eventually lead to Amazon.com. They appear to have the best base price around at $279.

Though I am not done looking yet, and still have time before Xmas, I am fairly sure that I will end up buying from Amazon. However if any of you have a better source I beg of you to post it in comments below.
