Over the past few months and especially recently, I have gotten over a
dozen games for less than $70 buck new. Some I really like (so far as I am playing them or have finished), some just OK. I am just listing a few here. Actual physical copies of: -Batman: Arkham Asylum $9.99, I couldn't pass it up. Game is a blast considering I wasn't interested in it at first since I am not really into fictional hero games. But the combat system and Bat weapons are all pure Batman, and the gameplay is really good, I am still playing it. -Just cause 2 $9.99. Plays OK, i don't like the island traveling as it is long. But the graphics are among them best I've seen on PC, especially the water effect, incredible. Cool fighting with decent shooting mechanics and destruction galore, well worth the money. Digital downloads: -Mirrors Edge $4.95. I passed on the 360 version because I found the gameplay mechanics annoying. On K&B, it is much nicer, really neat graphics and a very fun system, that has some weak points, it just needed a little more time because some of the jumping and wall running mechanics need some work, it hurt the game a little. Story is short and a little more ability to run in larger areas with more choices of routes to take would have been much nicer.. I would definitely get a second version if it gets released. The story is pretty cheap though, but this game is fun. -MOH: Airborne $4.95, what else can I say, it is one of many MOH releases. It is just OK. -Dead Space $6.99 Best purchase of the digital downloads, great game. Last, but not least: AMNESIA: THE DARK DESCENT: $19.99 This is a PC game only, but I will say this; it is the f'ing scariest damn game I have ever played and it is awesome. If you have a PC good enough to play this, get it, it is off the wall scary. |
