So, Best Buy decided to send me a trial copy of their new gamer magazine,
@Gamer, in the hopes I'd be willing to part with $20 for a 1 year subscription. Pardon me while I stop laughing... OK, so the magazine does come with a page of coupons which give you $10-15 off various things. For instance, $15 off Civ V, $10 off a PS3 controller, etc. I guess if you were insistent on buying new games regularly from Best Buy this might be worth the price of the subscription. However all their reviews - even for games you know didn't score well elsewhere - are between 3.5 and 4.75 stars. Oh come on now. Enslaved is 4.5? Sure, it looks pretty, but from what I've read elsewhere, the game practically plays itself and is quite short. Does that sound like a game that rates the same as Dead Rising 2? -- It's not broken. It's...advanced. |
