Xbox online gaming is peer to peer, Live is only and intermediary used for the lobby functionality and matchmaking as well as score boarding. Once a game is joined by the players they are playing on a game hosted on one of the machines -- Mike |

In fact, I think you'd find that Major Nelson's list of LIVE Activity is not all *online* play, but all people logged into Live playing the game. -- -f.h. |

Otherwise how would you get messages of your friends logging onto LIVE in the middle of a game for example? There's no way to get this Info though, and MS doesn't really post it. Major Nelson will post the Top 10 games played online for the week, etc, and once in a while MS will post a updated number of how many people have signed up to LIVE. I wouldn't count on MS posting that type of info let alone some other place. |

I was merely pointing out where Mike was mistaken. > There's no way > to get this Info though, and MS doesn't really post it. I just wanted to correct the wrong part =) -- -f.h. |
