My old PS3 fatboy has had a few YLOD deaths in the last 2 months with each
reflow producing shorter and shorter benefits. All of the videos that I have seen show the mobo being heated by heatgun from the "top" of the board. What about flipping the board upside down, supporting the CPU's from underneath so they will stay in place, and trying to reflow with flux from the bottom side instead? Also, if I buy a new slimline PS3, can I just insert my old hard drive and go on as before? Thanks! PS- I tried to post his before but it never showed up. Sorry if it is a duplicate |
