Sony Xperia Ray if you fancy something small.

Or any phone with a rear facing cam and a mirror seems to work quite well as

How much do you want to spend? I absolutely love my Samsung Galaxy
Nexus! You can probably pick up the Galaxy SII a bit cheaper which is
essentially the same thing, and in some respects even better. Neither of
them are cheap handsets though!

Nice but too pricey for me I'm only looking to spend £150 max on a mobile
phone.
My current iphone 3GS is ok but I need dual cameras for skype & the 3GS does
feel a bit sluggish.

You should give up finding a good Android phone for that price, I don't
know anything about the low end handsets because they are all fairly
terrible. I am not aware of any with a front facing camera at that price
point.

Of course I'm assuming you are talking about sim free here and not a
contract?

Yep Sim Free, I never buy a contract phone.
Ok I'll stick with my 3GS for now then & use my iPod touch when needed for
Skype.

I'll hold out for another 6 months and see if I can pick up a cheap IPhone 4
for less than £200

I just bought my wife an Xperia Mini and it's fantastic.

Small, neat. Fast. Comes with Ice Cream Sandwich. It's a really good
phone. £149.

I'd swap my Galaxy S for it if I could.
