It's 22:00 on Sunday the 29th of January. The last post I see in here is
from Russell Marks on the 27th at 23:49. Can this be true!? Anyway, if it is, just thought I'd give ugvm a prod and say wake up -the weekend is almost over! Just to keep a finger in the games-scene, today I was playing Battlefield 3 (as I am wont to do, on occasion) when I found myself at the countdown to startup on Kharg Island. Myself and around 6 members of my team were starting in a landing craft where there's one jeep. I was closest to the jeep by several feet so I knew I'd easily gain the driver's seat and take off as I wanted (I like to zoom to Bravo then off to Charlie, which by then will likely have a few enemies, standing around waiting to be shot). Anyway, the countdown came to an end... 3.. 2.. 1. I clicked down on the Leftstick so as to run and suddenly BLAM! one of my team mates shot me in the head, grabbed the jeep and tore off. He had a level-45 rank. It was clearly no accident. To say I was disgusted is putting it mildly. The only reason I could continue with the game was because I desperately wanted to catch up with the guy and knife him in the back of the head before quitting out. A little while later though I realised I wasn't certain who it was. I think his name began with an I, but I had two teammates beginning with I -and a third began with J, but for some reason I was more sure it was him. I'd hate to kick off a bit of a teamkill-spree just to ensure I wreaked vengeance on at least one correctly. Such was my fevered pain I didn't remember to check the names against rank until now as I type this. He may as well have stuck a pin in my air-filled rubber frame as I felt thoroughly deflated. I soon switched off feeling quite sorry for myself. Pathetic I know, but whatcha gonna do? ![]() -Kevin. |

I switched from the EU server to the US one on astraweb and works fine now. I didn't see this post or any other until I did so of course. Didn't see mine either, which is how I knew something was up. As for being Kevin, like everything else, it's a _lot_ different to how it's reported/ perceived. At least in my experience. -Kevin. |
