P
Oblivion (PC)
Closing identikit gates one after another is getting very repetitive.
The first one I did I thought was brilliant because it was so
different from the "natural world", but each subsequent one seems to
be made of the same buildings in a slightly different configuration.
Bit of a grind.

W
Rainbow Six Vegas 2 (PS3)
I'll be starting the campaign on Co-op with two mates on Thursday.
There's a spare slot if anyone wants to join in?

B
Trying to calibrate a home audio system with a 3 year old in the
house.

Forza 4 (360)

So, it seems I can win just about anything by tuning an Evo X. Hm.

Also, the Cali in this game is mostly undrivable, but in GT5 it's awesome.

Peggle (PSP)

Bought this to make myself feel better about my dead tablet. Which now
appears to be not dead. I finished Peggle. Again.

Goldeneye 007 (Wii)
Short and easy, and with The Wrong Bond In It, but I really enjoyed it.
Was Alec Trevelyan supposed to be more charismatic and likable than Bond
though? He's lovely.

Moto Heroz (Demo) (Wii)
Good fun! Might buy the full version at some point.

Super Mario 3D Land (3DS)
Only a couple of levels though.

Fable III (360)
Didn't play Fable II, so was a bit confused at the start. Doesn't feel
very much like the original Fable, but then that was a disappointment so
could be a good thing. Talking to people and doing the
whistledance/handshake/etc. just to get them to like you is pissing me
off. Combat is pretty good. Loving the voice actors though. Who does the
voice for the male hero? He sounds like Eddie from Chuggington, which
would be amaze. Have just got the music box, so not far in yet - although
the in-game stats suggest I've already passed half my friends list. Anyone
know why I can only access the pause screen by pressing the guide button
and then pressing B to cancel the guide? It's a pain.

Cycletron 4000 (RL)
As mentioned elsewhere, did my first 15+ mile ride. ACEBEST. Especially
since the weather was so shit I actually turned round to come home after
less than a mile, but somehow drove on, drenched and rainblind. I'm a
fucking martyr. Go me!

Having a week of ill daughter segueing into a week of ill wife. So bloody
tiring - I haven't had a night's sleep in a fortnight. And now I suspect
I'm coming down with the same flu. Sigh.

25 miles on a handheld Megadrive thing.

Next to nothing. :-(

Aporkalypse : Pigs of Doom (Android)
Level 21 of 30 completed. It's getting quite tricky now but a bit of
thinking during the walk to work has yielded a solution to level 22. I'd
recommend everyone plays this as its excellent.

My backlog to start coming down. All that's happened is growth of 6 games
since Xmas.

Not sure I can think of anything new that I'm waiting for. I really must
take a look at the coming soon section on play.com

Nothing I can think of this week. Other than work but that goes without
saying.

E

Ghostbusters £7.60
Gears of War 3 £19.99

I think that's all for January

They all seem very much like remixes of one another. A tall tower,
with a bauble at the top you have to interact with, which is up a
ramp, and beneath that there are a series of halls (blood letting and
so forth). And then a second tower with a meat crusher which takes you
half way up, and then a ramp leading up to a cage. Slight changes in
how they are all interconnected but it's all very Halo Library.

A non-techie friend was showing me his Touchpad over the weekend. He
asked me the best way to get Android on to it - I told him Cyanogenmod
Gingerbread, is that right? Does it mostly work? Any advisories?

Ice Cream Sandwich is where it's at now. CM9. Look on the Rootzwiki
forums for touchpad to find it.

It's superb. Miles better than GB, becasue of course GB is a mobile
'phone platform and ICS is for tablets (and 'phones).

I just installed it again today, as my battery issue seems resolved.
