Default [iOS] Scramble with Friends

A new "with Friends" game I noticed. Pretty decent rendition of
Scramble. Free ad-supported version to try. Anyone else got it yet?
Usual name if you want to give me a game.

I got this but how does the in-app purchase work on it? do you need to
purchase coins to play?

Is this Scramble as in Boggleclone, or some other Scramble?

You have to pay 1 coin to play a game (or round, not sure which) and you
can use additional ones for 'cheats' if you want (I haven't). You get
more coins every 15 minutes or you can buy them with real money.

I think we need to establish what the etiquette is with these coins.
My default position was that I would use the 'free' bonus slot each game,
but not use any coins to activate a second. If everyone is playing without
using any bonuses at all, then I'm happy to go along with that too.

I'm _SomethingWitty_ (with underscores at each end) on the '...With Friends'
games if anyone else wants to add me up.

I've only played a couple of games and not done anything with coins yet.
I've ignored all of the coin/purchasing/cheat things in all of the wF games.

Ditto, but when you start a game of Scramble, it offers you two bonus slots,
the first being free and the second costing one coin to use. Thus I equipped
the 'freeze' bonus to give myself a few extra seconds in the free slot, but
didn't spend any coins on the second. If we're all up for just playing
vanilla games without *any* bonuses (free or coin-purchased), then I'm happy
to go with that.

I was wondering how the hell you could play the rocket shooting bomb
dropping version turn by turn, never heard of any other!

Yeah same here, apart from some balloons in Hanging, but they've been
bought with in-game coins anyway.
Think I'll download Scramble this evening and try it.
