Posting on here on the offchance. Planning doing an 'interesting' retro
indie game (my first bit of game coding since the heady days of retrospec) and was wondering if any of you lot know anyone who does chip music. Doesn't have to be ACTUAL chipmusic - I'm just as happy with tracker tunes that sound like they're chipmusic ![]() J -- John Dow <jmd@nelefa.org.invalid> ... That would do the trick. Basically, I'm planning doing a retro/indie jRPG (sort of) with procedurally generated worlds, quests, story, etc. Having said that - I'm developing in C++/SDL and I've never used SDL before (always used either DirectX or Allegro), so before doing a giant complicated RPG, I'm going to first write a fairly simple platform game to learn the toolkit. What I've designed so far looks interesting - it's called Modular Bob and will be a metroidvania stylee thingy where upgrades are basically bolted on to Bob to expand his abilities while making him bigger and fragile and wobbly ![]() I've forgotten where I was going with this post.
