Has anyone played this on the 360?
I'm a bit confused on Ego Draconis or Dragon Knight Saga Are they separate games or is one a game of the year collection? -- gospvg [..getting old and still playing video games..] http://www.gospvg.com |

I have played this. There are three distinct releases: The Dragon Knight Saga is a bugfix release that combines both the original game and its expansion from later that year. You'll find the other two for cheaper, but if you're playing on 360 it's essential to have the Dragon Knight Saga release in order to play for any length of time without the game crashing daily. If you're enjoying Skyrim and/or Oblivion you ought to get some enjoyment out of Divinity II. Unlike its Diablo-clone predecessor, Divinity II is a Gamebryo engine third-person RPG with an over-the-shoulder view and some decent mission scenarios. I've played through most of the side quests in the first town and found the morally ambiguous choices surprisingly satisfying. -KKC, prorastinating at work. -- -- "Step 8: Make a list of all the persons I | kendrick have harmed, and file them alphabetically | @io-nyc.com for ease of reference." | - David Javerbaum, "The Last Testament"

I found people talking about locations I hadn't found yet and got very confused. I tried to find some dungeon or other that a guard mentioned to do a quest a certain way but had no idea where it was. I really should try and put more time into it as I barely got past the first town. -- Words with Friends/Chess with Friends/Naked War username: HaggisHunter Using an Intel i7 PC with a Zotac GTX580 gfx card, ASUS Xonar D2X soundcard, 30" Samsung monitor, 6GB of memory and Windows 7 64-bit |

I vaguely remember mentioning in one of my PWB posts that Divinity II mostly served to illustrate how well-constructed the Elder Scrolls games are. For all its faults, you can jump into Skyrim and just play. Divinity II requires you to keep track of all sorts of things outside of the context of the game, which made sense twenty years ago when you couldn't automate mapping or quest logs. Even so, Divinity II has a competent story. More impressively, there's a complete lack of generic characters. Every guard and townsperson in the place seems to have his or her own backstory, sometimes to comedic effect. One in particular in that first town will go on and on about how his entire family has served for seven generations as guards for the same town. It's a handcrafted richness that seems somehow stronger than the procedurally-generated folk of Skyrim, and it's why I still believe it might be worth my time. -KKC, who's done with work now, thank you very much. -- -- "Step 8: Make a list of all the persons I | kendrick have harmed, and file them alphabetically | @io-nyc.com for ease of reference." | - David Javerbaum, "The Last Testament"
