Your general knowledge is scary at times. James I was actually the subject of some debate in one of my secondary history classes. A particularly bigoted classmate of mine was attempting to argue entitlement for English-speaking peoples (read: white people like him) based on James' distribution of the most widely-read bible in the world. The teacher, who was quite hip and widely respected, pointed out the irony of James' history with dozens and dozens of favoured male courtiers.
