On the day the Xbox 360 was released me, jochta and Northern Deity played
PGR3 online and it was AWESOME. OMG look at the graphics! Last night me, jochta and Northern Deity went back to PGR3 and whilst the graphics are no longer AWESOME (I thought it held up well, jochta thought it was rubbish) we still had a fun old evening of gaming. It took me a race or two to get back up to speed with how you drive in PGR but after that we had a lot of very close racing which you don't seem to get in the Forza games. PGR3 is a bit limited in tracks so after about a hour we moved onto.... ...PGR4 where we spent about half an hour trying to figure out how to get a private lobby. Once that was done we had a few close races around the new tracks in Macau and St Petersburg before calling it a night. PGR4 is a bit better graphically but the extra tracks are what make it a better online game. The most surprising thing was that there are still people playing PGR3 and 4 online. And there are still idiots who think it's fun to try and spin you round all the time - he got kicked. Both are still very good games but we could have done with a few more players. If you've got either game and fancy a retro session post in here and I'll set something up. -- WCZ |

If I can tear myself from Battlefield 3 and not playing AssassCre Rev on PS3 I wouldn't mind a bit of a go on this. Not sure how long I could keep at it, but I don't mind coming last for an hour or so. Name the date. -Kevin. |

PGR3 still plays fine but as WCZ says there aren't very many interesting tracks although if we had a bigger group there are the other game modes (e.g. team stuff, cat n mouse etc.) we could play. > ..PGR4 where we spent about half an hour trying to figure out how to get > a private lobby. Or Forza 3. -- -Toby Add the word afiduluminag to the subject to circumvent my email filters. |

I'm between PMGs at the moment so any evening after 8pm is good for me. -- -Toby Add the word afiduluminag to the subject to circumvent my email filters. |
