I've just had a small cash boost after being paid for a job and I'm think
of investing in a Netbook. Its main use would be for email/surfing around the house and Office when I'm away with work. We can also restrict the kids use to the ageing laptop :-) I'm not looking to spend more than £200-£250. Are there any brands or processors that I should look out for or avoid? I've never dipped my toe in the Netbook market before. TIA. Gus. -- GT: GusTavToo / PSN: GusWho - Sent from a micro iPad |

I would say get a cheapo laptop or an ipad instead. -- gospvg [..getting old and still playing video games..] http://www.gospvg.com |

I got a Dell Mini 9 a few years ago and the small keyboard, low resolution and stupid screen shape make it all but unusable for most things. I do most of my typing for personal use nowadays on an iPad. Tim (tm) |

That sounds very promising. Does this email work? Gus. -- GT: GusTavToo / PSN: GusWho - Sent from a micro iPad |

Maybe spend an extra £15 to boost it to 2GB. deKay -- Lofi Gaming - http://lofi-gaming.org.uk Gaming Diary - http://lofi-gaming.org.uk/diary Blog - http://lofi-gaming.org.uk/blog My computer runs at 3.5MHz and I'm proud of that |

I have an Eeepc 1001ha Intel Atom N270 1.6 GHz Processor It's fine for what I use it for, i.e. mostly sshing to other boxes with some light web browsing. -- -Toby Add the word afiduluminag to the subject to circumvent my email filters. |
