Some day we'll have posting events separated by decades and not weeks or years. In 2011 I appear to have completed the following games:Fallout 3: Mothership Zeta (360) Fallout 3: Broken Steel (360) Gods Eater Burst (PSP) Yakuza (PS2) Yakuza 3 (PS3) Yakuza 4 (PS3) Retro Game Challenge (DS) Star Wars Battlefront Renegade Squadron (PSP) God of War III (PS3) The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (360) As always, the definition of game 'completion' is left as an arbitraty exercise for each poster. Some like to use the viewing of the end credits in an RPG as the threshold, even if not all the content has been viewed. Others like to have all the achievements or trophies unlocked. Use whatever metric you prefer. I note with interest that the PS3 doesn't account for more than half of my list, even though it was newly purchased and I now have just as big a backlog for it as I do any other system in my house. I didn't make it all the way through the DLC for Gods Eater, nor did I wipe out all the incidental guild quests in Skyrim, but as I completed them to my own satisfaction I'm happy to list them here. I'm a little surprised that there aren't more PSP games on the list given how much attention I gave the platform this year. So what did you finish last year? -KKC, whose 360 is not recoverable without official repair actions. -- -- "Step 8: Make a list of all the persons I | kendrick have harmed, and file them alphabetically | @io-nyc.com for ease of reference." | - David Javerbaum, "The Last Testament" | |

Nice and easy, I just google the keywords afiduluminag and finished. ![]() I'm quite proud of my list this year. I've developed a new run-and-gun playstyle in contrast to my normal "explore everything" style and it really helps to get through games. Duke Nukem Forever Well, /I/ liked it. Aliens vs Predator Fantastic. Can't wait for Prometheus this year. Time, gentlemen, please Ben there, Dan that! More people should play this great pair of games. Am I alone in ugvm for having finished them? Bioshock After a drab start it ended up being a good game, but not quite as good as the hype I don't think. Red alert 3 I just love Red Alert games. Just realised I've got the addon pack for this in my steam account unplayed... Portal 2 Same high-grade stuff as the prequel. Afterburner Can't explain why I 100%ed this, but I found it really compelling and really enjoyed doing so. Lost Planet 2 PMG FTW! Borderlands Nice to get some gaming time on the PS3! A more addictive game than you would think if it was written down on paper. Battlefield BC2 Standard modern FPS with linear setpieces, let down with a real downer ending. Assassin's Creed Much better than I expected. Looking forward to playing the next in the series in 2012 Castlevania Lords of Shadow Really beautiful - very close connection between the concept art and the game. Enslaved Perfect post-christmas blockbuster action. Far Cry 2 Loved the whole Africa thing. Loved the weapons. Space Channel Five Except for the very last button press after the credits! Machinarium It's not a game with a great soundtrack, it's a great album with a gui. Call of Duty MW2 Hold W. Click on the heads. Limbo Beautiful little game. -- -Toby Add the word afiduluminag to the subject to circumvent my email filters. |

I solo I finished: Mass Effect 2 (360) and some DLC. Lego SW III (360). The 2nd ever game where to get 1,000G. I can't remember whether I finished Red Dead Redemption at the end of 2010 or the beginning of 2011 so I'll mention that as well. It's not impressive in many respects, but for me that is a good year :-) Gus. -- GT: GusTavToo / PSN: GusWho - Sent from a micro iPad |

I also 100%ed Assassin's Creed 2 and the Lego games, played a good 50+ "unscripted" New Vegas hours, sunk far too much time into Zen Pinball, and played lots of other games not to completion. I wonder where I find the time, frankly. -- Sent from my iPhone |

Lots of really good games this year, but honestly, there's something gone from gaming for me right now. It's all good fun, but it all feels like retreading the same turf and it's starting to feel a bit stagnant. I'm sat here, about to post this, check the steam sale and then crack on with the latest iteration of Assassin's Creed and I'm just not excited about any of it. I'll enjoy it, I know, but my inner-child isn't at all on board. Back to last year: The highlights for me were DKCR and SMG on the Wii. The adverts for DKCR touched a nostalgic nerve somewhere and it was a real treat to go back to a gaming place where collecting coins and bananas and jumping on heads was fun. SMG was another game I'd missed and another wonderful experience. I did play a couple of other games on the Wii, but only finished Metroid: Other M. MadWorld didn't grab me at all, Endless Ocean made me want to play Aquanaut's Holiday and Xenoblade Chronicles is still a work in progress. Skyrim was of course awesome, but I think I left it a bit long to complete in terms of player level and there was a distinct lack of impact when I'd finished the game....in fact, I had no idea I had finished the game until later when I tried to find the next story quest and couldn't. This is now parked until DLC turns up. Other highlights were Batman AC, Deus Ex and Yakuza 4. Uncharted was probably the biggest disappointment of the year for me. Not because it was a bad game, it was far from that...It was just that the firefights ranged from pointless to really fucking pointless and not one of them didn't feel like filler. |
