In before fifty identical 'D' entries. The Warp game, not the hip hop moniker. The Daedalus Encounter (3DO) - I've played the first five minutes of this game about a half dozen times. Tia Carrera is the gun-toting tough hottie, and you're a disembodied head in a box. It's your job to make decisions that your live-action subordinate then carries out, sometimes to hilarious effect. One of the better excuses for an FMV game, but still not anything that could hold my attention for very long. Dino Crisis (DC/PSX) - I've got it on two platforms (and a number of later sequels) and I haven't played any of them. Resident Evil with dinosaurs sounds like a fabulous idea, but I always forget that I hate the fixed camera and limited ammunition of the early RE spinoffs. Demikids (GBA) - The kid-friendly Pokemon clone set in the Shin Megami Tensei world. Picked up both versions of the game for a song from some remainder sale online years ago, never got around to trying them. I hear they're equal parts saccharine and horror. Deep Space Nine: Crossroads of Time (MD) - DS9 is my favourite Star Trek series, but I've yet to find a reason to stick with the one game based on it. It looks vaguely like a side-scrolling King's Quest sort of adventure, which is a shame because using a D-pad for control seems tedious. I wonder if the Sega Mouse is compatible with this game. Deep Fear (SAT) - It's supposed to be a great survival horror game, but I hapepn to own the JPN-region version. That means all the spoken dialogue is in English, but all the subtitles and menus and instructions are in Japanese. I need to make a mental note to dig up the EU version at a later date. Dreamfall: The Longest Journey (Xbox) - I've played the first five minutes of this game about two or three times as well. Need to make time to work my way through this before the world ends in 2012. -KKC, who doesn't like the look of this here .NET installer. -- -- "Step 8: Make a list of all the persons I | kendrick have harmed, and file them alphabetically | @io-nyc.com for ease of reference." | - David Javerbaum, "The Last Testament"

Daedelus
Isometric purple thing on Atari ST. Looked interesting. OK, I've just had a google and I think I'm remembering the name wrong. It's not Damocles, either. I think there were floating red blob enemies. Set on a space station? Oh well. Dreamfall Ok, so I'm taking some inspiration from the parent post. I own this game, but haven't played it because I want to play the prequel first. Which I also own but have never played. Daytona Yes, I've played it, but I've never grokked it. Daggerfall One of the list of Elder Scrolls games that I've missed. Dante's Inferno It's after God of War in the queue. And I've not played God of War yet. Doesn't look hopefull, this one, which is a shame because screenshots looked like it had some brilliant level design. All tongues and stuff. Deuteros Another game along with Damocles and Daedelus whose name has stuck in my memory. Know nothing about it. Dead Space Still not got the courage to push on with this one. Defcon Introversion's War Game. Looks really good. Demon's Souls I've heard no end of hype about this game in the ng, but never actually seen a screenshot! Dizzy Beyond a brief go on my mate's Spectrum. I think I preferred his copy of Robocop. "Protect the innocent". Defence of the ancients (DOTA) I hear it's amazing. Not sure what it is, though, even. An RTS? D/generation A-ha! That's the game I was trying to remember. Dig Dug Never saw a machine running it. Never emulated it. -- -Toby Add the word afiduluminag to the subject to circumvent my email filters. |

Dragon's Lair Just looked like a really bad interactive cartoon to me Duke Nukem 3D Started on PC played 2 levels & then the game crashed, tried again on PS1 got bored after 3 levels & then a failed PMG session with Toby & Luffers on the space level I think? Discworld I've not read much of Terry Pratchett's material & thus had not interest in playing the game of the book. Deus Ex I have both games on the PC somewhere just never got round to playing them, wish they would receive a HD upgrade for the current generation. Devil May Cry Capcoms answer to Buffy the Vampire slayer, jump around, slash, slash & kill. Rinse & repeat for another umpteen levels. -- gospvg [..getting old and still playing video games..] http://www.gospvg.com |

For the Android tablet. Super little game. |

I played a bit of DMC4 (I think? the 360 one) but didn't like it. Never really bothered looking at the others. Deus Ex Wasn't interested when I realised it wasn't actually a sequel to Deus Ex Machina. Daikatana I don't even know what this is. N64 FPS by Doom guy? I know it was the DNF of its day. deKay -- Lofi Gaming - http://lofi-gaming.org.uk Gaming Diary - http://lofi-gaming.org.uk/diary Blog - http://lofi-gaming.org.uk/blog My computer runs at 3.5MHz and I'm proud of that |

Arguably the best way to play the game, with the "gameplay" expertly removed from the equation. > Devil May Cry > Capcoms answer to Buffy the Vampire slayer, jump around, slash, slash & > kill. Rinse & repeat for another umpteen levels. Likewise, I've never played one. I quite fancy it, based on my experience with Bayonetta. The DVD version of the game has a "hands-free" mode, where it plays itself. While you wank over Daphne, presumably. deKay -- Lofi Gaming - http://lofi-gaming.org.uk Gaming Diary - http://lofi-gaming.org.uk/diary Blog - http://lofi-gaming.org.uk/blog My computer runs at 3.5MHz and I'm proud of that |

This game was the subject of an amount of hype, as it was to be John Romero's magnum opus. It turned out to be not much more than a standard vehicle shooter. Incidentally, some gamers had the biggest problem with Romero's poor understanding of the Japanese language, as 'Daikatana' is an improper pairing of a noun and a modifier. -KKC, whose right hand is bandaged, making typing nearly impossible. -- -- "Step 8: Make a list of all the persons I | kendrick have harmed, and file them alphabetically | @io-nyc.com for ease of reference." | - David Javerbaum, "The Last Testament"
