I know I'm a day early with this thread, but as I turn 40 today it's my
party so there! ![]() I feel now my life's just beginning... ![]() Okamiden turned up today so that was a nice birthday present for me. And it came all the way from Greece, undamaged, within 7 days! Wow! ![]() However, I'm going to be going through Okami again and am determined to finish it this time before starting Okamiden. I've waited several months for a copy to become available so more waiting won't hurt any. Also be playing Skyrim (PC) and possibly Sword of the Stars 2/Galciv Ultimate Collection. I feel an urge for massive space battles coming on. Also won a prize in a local football club's raffle yesterday. A hamper full of grub, so I'll be well fed over the festive period. I expect many of you will be imbibing in the festivities over the next few days so might not be in a fit state to play anything... ![]() -- Words with Friends/Chess with Friends/Naked War username: HaggisHunter Using an Intel i7 PC with a Zotac GTX580 gfx card, ASUS Xonar D2X soundcard, 30" Samsung monitor, 6GB of memory and Windows 7 64-bit |

The white-collar American worker has tomorrow off, so technically the weekend has started for those of us who live in daylight. So in that spirit: Skyrim (360) - I may start a new character. I didn't know until recently that it was possible to follow Ulfric out of the prison instead of the imperial guard (that you never see again after the first mission) so I'm likely to try that on for size. I wonder if that variant of the opening sequence is further divided if you play a race other than a Nord. Dynasty Warriors Strikeforce (PS3) - It seems wrong that Zhuge Liang's wife, who was repotedly smart as a whip but very plain, is portrayed in the game as a leggy blonde with a short skirt and a crossbow with a ten-foot bayonet. Nier (360) - Just bought it. Looks nice. This is the one with the hermaphrodite, right? "Hermaphrodite Right" is now the name of our punk band. Devil Dice (PSX) - Didn't take my PSOne on the work trip with me (as I usually do, oddly enough) so I didn't get a chance to pop that in. I now have no excuse not to check out jochta's hints web site. Six Atari Lynx carrying cases - Not a game, really. But at a dollar a piece, it seems a shame not to do something entertaining with them. Ooh, they have belt loops. I shall have a utility belt to make Batman jealous. -KKC, working from home and still busy as hell. -- -- "Step 8: Make a list of all the persons I | kendrick have harmed, and file them alphabetically | @io-nyc.com for ease of reference." | - David Javerbaum, "The Last Testament"

I've only done the one playthrough and at no point does the girl with the massive bojangles get her dick out. It's a game that's meant to be repeatedly beaten (subsequent playthroughs take a fraction of the time and start well in to the main story in order to facilitate this) but as is always the case, something shiny and new took my fancy and forgotten it became. I think that on about the fourth playthrough, there's some intimation that she might be packing heat, but I get the impression that it's really just gamers with active imaginations. Probably the same ones that are seeing lambda symbols and 3's all over the Australian Christmas team fortress images. And for my amusement, can you please let me know when you're going to go fishing so as I can watch the status updates. Can you also please fish from the wrong beach for an hour so as I don't feel like quite such a massive tool. Remember to back up your saves somewhere safe as well as the game will delete them for you after either the 3rd or 4th play through...not sure which one. |

I feel an urge for massive space battles coming on. This for me as well. I have a rapidly shrinking quest log, and a gameplay counter that's just about to tip over the 90 hour mark...and that doesn't count the first day of play which I was necessarily offline for. I'm going to interleave the guild and main quests now until they're done, which means one companion quest, one mage quest, one brotherhood quest and one main quest until the game is done. Then I think I'll be leaving it to ferment while I wait for some DLC. Aside from that, while I've been almost good at ignoring the steam sales I wll be playing: Tropico 4 (PC) - As close as I could get to a citybuilder type thing for a price I was willing to part with. I'm hoping that the "Cities" games appear on a daily deal soon so as I can pick up one of those as well. SW:TFU2 (PC) - In the closing stages of this now. Well worth the £3.74 I paid for it. The fact that I'm near the end of it and the steam counter is showing 3 hours is fairly damning though. VVVVVV (PC) - 2 left to find. X3: Albion (PC) - If I can be bothered. I've had to make up a whole new category for games on my gaming list to cover all the shit I'm buying on steam (with my Vita fund!!). The categories "Playing" and "Wanting" have been joined by "Asides". I find that being able to categorise games under the new heading helps me stop worrying about probably never completing them. I may also play some more Cave Story+, Bit.Trip Runner and some of the other stuff from the humble bundle if I have the time...probably not. |

I've only done the one playthrough and >at no point does the girl with the massive bojangles get her dick out. That's a relief? I've honestly completely forgotten why this was on my list of games to buy, but it was free (free!) with two other 360 games so I'm not complaining. The other two were Two Worlds II and Resonance of Fate, if you're curious. I don't think I'll touch them this weekend, but you never know. >And for my amusement, can you please let me know when you're going to >go fishing so as I can watch the status updates. Thanks for the tip. I've neglected the 360 data recovery system since the PS3 came into the house, so this is probably a good excuse to start the rotating backups again. -KKC, evaluating the Mazda 2 as a commuter car. -- -- "Step 8: Make a list of all the persons I | kendrick have harmed, and file them alphabetically | @io-nyc.com for ease of reference." | - David Javerbaum, "The Last Testament"
