Morning all,
I'm not sure if anyone is still bothering with this but thought I'd share. I got the micro-console free for pre-ordering AC:R & on first impression wasn't really that impressed as the lag seemed to be fairly significant. I was more or less ready to write it off when I read that you could use an XBox wired controller & gave it a try. This was a huge improvement over the bundled, wireless controller and is actually very playable for most games and a better experience than the PC client. Since then I've signed up to the playpack and bought a few more games and overall am very impressed. A playable client has now been released for Android phones and tablets with an IOS one currently in Apple approval. The latest update includes the ability to use the Xperia Play controller so I'm going to borrow one from work over the weekend and give it a try. There is also a new controller you can you use with phones & tablets but it's bloody expensive. I should mention - I'm on Virgin 50mb and haven't suffered any slowdown or throttling, but if I was on a capped package I would proceed with caution. |

I use the included wireless controller and it's fine. The worst I've had is the occasional "network down" message which is annoying, it repeats the last input so you end up running in circles or shooting at the ground or something, but apart from that it's been fine during the 40 odd hours I've used it the micro console. I bought the wired controller mainly so I could continue to play Borderlands when I have to surrender the telly. > I should mention - I'm on Virgin 50mb and haven't suffered any slowdown > or throttling, but if I was on a capped package I would proceed with caution. I'm on BT Infinity and so far it seems to be working fine. What's your Onlive ID? We should start a (admittedly very short) ugvm list. Mine as usual is rubbishatgames. Carl. |

Though control issue render it next to useless, it's still very impressive for a few minutes. -- James Luff Gamertag / Twitter: Lufferov blog: http://lufferov.blogspot.com "There are 10 types of people in the world: Those that understand binary, and those that don't." |
