- Skyrim. Fucked off with it now. Apparently 'something' happens near the start of your playthrough, which will clobber the theives guild questline right at the end. So about 40 hours of play time into the theives guild questline, doing theives guild quests, I find myself stuck in a room with no doors, unable to exit. I'm /supposed/ to touch a circle on the ground to get a nocturnal power, and this would majik me back to the open world. But it doesn't. No ammount of reloading old saves will fix it. Fucking game. I can, of course, reload a save right before I jump into this exit-less hole, but that means I've wasted all those tens and tens of hours on the thieves guild and can't finish it. Fucking game bitching hate. I'm not going to shred it, but I'm finding it difficult to eruditely articulate quite how pissed off I am. W - Fewer bugs in games Uncharted 3 to be a good story and not bugged. B - Skyrim E - about 2 quid on a billion Android apps. |

I find it a lot harder to see the enemy compared to BC2, but I don't know if that is actually the case, or just that i'm unfamilar with the maps. Paper Toss 2.0 on my new iPhone 4S. Got the phone for free from work as part of a bonus, otherwise I wouldn't have bothered to upgrade from my iPhone 4. It's noticeably snappier and quicker to use, and i've actually used Siri a few times! I wouldn't have paid for the upgrade myself though. > > W > - To be off for xmas. I was hoping to link up at some stage. Another time. I didn't check out Hardcore yet but will do now you mention it. I came to prefer it in BC2. I think the key to spotting enemies, as you say, is knowing the territory. A smudge or a bump in the wrong place makes all the difference when you're quickly scanning round. I used to have difficulty getting my gun up, aiming at the right spot and pulling the trigger -much tougher it seems in this game. But it doesn't seem to be an issue for me that much now. Not sure if it's practise, familiarisation or some add-on I picked up along the way. I played some Rush over the weekend and enjoyed it! It's a pity BF3 has the same balance issues as previous games though. I dislike being in an over-domineering team as much as when we're being trashed (or "man-trashed" as my boy says). -Kevin. |

I still don't like the maps as much as the BC2 maps though, and levelling up a sniper to get some good guns is boringly frustrating. The first guns you have take more than one shot to kill someone, even on hardcore, I pumped 4 shots into someones chest and they still didn't go down. The only enjoyable way of levelling up a recon, for me, is with shotguns But that isn't quite so much fun on your own, and without slugammunition. Loads to unlock in this game, but I think the equipment difference between the people with more time to play, and those who aren't on the game all day is more pronounced this time round, which makes these early days a bit of a chore. > I played some Rush over the weekend and enjoyed it! Conquest Assault, or something like that. Basically one team starts with 1 conquest point and a lot of tickets, the other team with the rest of the points and less tickets. Might be interesting. T. |
