Fucked off with it now. Apparently 'something' happens near the start of your playthrough, which will clobber the theives guild questline right at the end. So about 40 hours of play time into the theives guild questline, doing theives guild quests, I find myself stuck in a room with no doors, unable to exit. I'm /supposed/ to touch a circle on the ground to get a nocturnal power, and this would majik me back to the open world. But it doesn't. No ammount of reloading old saves will fix it. Fucking game. I can, of course, reload a save right before I jump into this exit-less hole, but that means I've wasted all those tens and tens of hours on the thieves guild and can't finish it. Fucking game bitching hate. I'm not going to shred it, but I'm finding it difficult to eruditely articulate quite how pissed off I am. |

Great, but I'm shit at it. Zombie Gunship (iOS) Unlocked all sizes of weapon now, and the second bunker location, both of which make the game even more enjoyable. Spent some of my coin stash on upgrading the number of coins received for each zombie kill, which has paid dividends - I'm in the process of upgrading the 25mm Gatling Gun, and those coins come in very handy. W.E.L.D.E.R. (iOS) This has lost its edge a little since I completed it. Still bashing away trying to improve my score, though. Diddy Kong Racing (N64) At a house that was not my own, helping retrieve Christmas decorations from the loft, I spied an immaculate, boxed, mint condition N64 and small pile of games. This was retrieved along with the decorations, and a long afternoon (and night) of fiercely competitive head-to-head racing on DKR ensued. I always preferred this to Mario Kart 64, and I loved every second of my trip down nostalgia lane. No, No, No! I reviewed this game on the website I write for. It was really only ever tested with two players, which is why so many of the puzzles require you to ping-pong back and forth across a big empty area. In theory it encourages you to find a mate to pick up the other pad, but in practice it's just mind-numbing. The setting is nice though, in a cartoon Banjo-Kazooie sort of way. -KKC, whose year-end bonus payout is surprisingly not insulting. -- -- "Step 8: Make a list of all the persons I | kendrick have harmed, and file them alphabetically | @io-nyc.com for ease of reference." | - David Javerbaum, "The Last Testament" | |

When your save file reaches a certain size, 6MB for some, bit bigger for others, the frame rate decends to an unplayable 1SPF. No fix is likely from Beth, so every time I save, and it goes up by a few 10s or a few 100s of KB, I stress about the inevitable impending end. So, much less fun than you might think. And yes, those hours were wasted anyway, if the stupid game prevents you from completing it and makes you hate it. |
