Just thinking about the time since I upgraded to the PS3.
I promised myself I'd get more out of it than the 360 by actually playing and completing games. So far, if I'm remembering correctly, I've completed Oblivion Bioshock 2 Singularity Heavy Rain Borderlands God of War III Red Dead Redemption I think that's not bad in 6 months. One a month, in fact. I realise my 'completion' won't be to the standard of others, not all trophies, mostly no online play. The games I haven't completed tend to be traded quite quickly, or racing and sports games that I keep coming back to. All of the above bar Borderlands (unfinished business there) and Bioshock 2 (and Oblivion - could never trade oblivion) have been traded to help with the next title. Pretty happy with that. Next up are Uncharted 2 (don't know about this) Mirrors Edge (need to finish it) Valkyria (need to start it) Plus whatever else comes along. Anyone played valkyria? What's it like? |

Would this be Valkyria Chronicles by any chance? If so, I have it, have played it and it's rather good, although it does get quite difficult early on (or at least that's what I found). Some of the comments your team members make are rather funny and there's quite a variety of members to choose from. The graphics seem to be a soft pastel style, which just adds to the charm. I've yet to finish it, as I've only got up Chapter 10 or something. Been a while since I switched on the PS3 tbh I have also to play Uncharted 2. I enjoyed the first one, so am looking forward to eventually getting on with the sequel. As for Mirror's Edge, I really do need to finish this sometime. This is the PC version though. I got so far then got stuck and couldn't see a way of making progress without looking at a walkthrough, which I really don't want to do...:/ It's where you're at a locked door and there's a window above it. Try as I might, I couldn't get height enough to jump through the window, if indeed that's what you're meant to do... -- Words with Friends/Chess with Friends username:HaggisHunter Using an Intel i7 PC with 2xGT280 gfx cards, 30" Samsung monitor, 6GB of memory and Windows 7 64-bit |

I suppose this is as good a time as any to mention that the demo for Valkyria II is up on PSN now. The sequel was made for the PSP, and Sega's rationale was that they wanted to get the game out in a matter of months rather than years. -KKC, who is old enough now to be bothered by the idea of teenagers going to war. -- --"I think I'm kind of like pennies. On this topic, we can't afford to buy a lot of games, so we make sure we buy one and then complete it before taking it and exchanging it for some of the cost of the next one. Because we sometimes like different games we sometimes end up with 2 on the go, one each, but not always. I half regret taking back Fallout 3 and Borderlands because I would probably have played them a bit more, but it does mean I've played and completed (by competed I mean seen the end-game scene) far more games than I would have otherwise. More incentive when you know it's the only game you have and another one means finishing it first. The single exception to this so far is Dragon Age: Origins which I kept, and didn't use to fund Red Dead Redemption. Finished RDR and on my second go through of DA:O now, and not sad I kept it. -- Tony Evans [PSN: perception101] Saving trees and wasting electrons since 1993 blog -> http://perceptionistruth.com/ books -> http://www.bookthing.co.uk/ [ anything below this line wasn't written by me ] |
