This weekend I shal play:
Bioshock 2 (PS3) This is getting much eaier with Cyclone 3 and Insect 3. Traptastic :-) I think I'm finally enjoying it, now that I'm not resource challenged quite so much. Infinite EVE and Health helps a lot too. Radiant (Android) Will this ever end! It's good though, so I don't much care. Just working through levelling all my weapons. Everlands (Android) This is so good. I don't think it's quite Android's Angry Birds (though that is coming), but it's super duper hextile animal saving action. And that will likely be that. Apart from some Carcassonne and WWF. (Just a note to Doodle Jump fans that I didn't put in my Android thread - Doodle Jump on Android is expensive and rubbish) |

Worst tutorial I've seen in a while. Graphics seemingly deliberately sapped of anything approaching colour. Brain-meltingly complicated interface. Didn't know what I was doing. Tried to pick up some ammo, ended up changing my guns. I think one of my men was injured because he was yellow, but I couldn't find him to help. Ended up getting in a truck and running some people over. That seemed to win the mission for me. Right. I had a lot of fun, but I doubt it's the fun I was meant to be having. Trenches (iPhone) - Played it through on Easy when it came out, which took about twenty minutes. Had loads of updates since then, so went to have a look. Much improved now and playing the campaign on Medium is a real challenge. (For me, anyway.) And other iPhone stuff, no doubt. |

Tried to take on one of the coloured Rathalos wyverns and felt that the game was taunting me over insufficient armour options. I'm likely to spend the weekend backtracking into well-explored areas to grind for parts. Monster Hunter Tri (Wii) - If I have time. I've fallen behind online, and I'm not likely to have the same play schedule as my usual partners in crime anyway. I'm more likely to try for some progress offline, as the story is just now picking up. MySQL debugging - Hooray for relational database troubleshooting tools. Boo for Oracle's messy buyout of Sun. I'm not a hundred percent sure it's safe to upgrade to 5.1.49, and apparently neither are most existing corporate customers of Sun. There's no way this ends well, and especially not for the independent, personal web pages I do this work for. Moving (RL) - A dear friend has outgrown his house now that his first child is a year old. I'm spending a good part of Saturday hauling cardboard boxes around town. -KKC, who also needs to cut some grass. -- --"I think I'm kind of like pennies. Even if I did buy a Switch Axe which was supposedly more powerful than my Great Sword (by some 120 points) but clearly isn't. Anyway, I will be playing this. iPhone stuff (iPhone) As usual. -- Posted from my iPhone |

The number is a little misleading because the switch axe is so much heavier than the other weapons, so you end up being able to make fewer hits on any one monster. Have you gotten far enough to unlock the longsword yet? That's a melee weapon that lives up to its billing. Bowguns have always suited my style of play, even for monsters that should be confronted head-on with a bladed weapon. I'm a little disappointed in the way bowguns are handled in Tri, because in previous games they were just single units and didn't have to be stitched together from separate parts. Even so, I'm digging around for an argument to steer you towards them. -KKC, doing fun things with query statements. -- --"I think I'm kind of like pennies.
