We only care about what you want and what you've put in the bin on Monday, after you've spent your weekend enjoying: Monster Hunter Tri (Wii) - My American gaming buddies are enjoying the Jhen Moran hunt, an epic event quest that has you *leaping* off a boat to land on the back of this giant crocodile. You might be called on to duck into its cavernous mouth to plant explosives and carve off his dangerous tusks. Never did anything like that in Phantasy Star Online. I've got to try that quest for myself. Half Minute Hero (PSP) - Probably my last weekend with it. If I don't see some end credits this weekend it'll probably be shelved in favour of... Monster Hunter Freedom Unite (PSP) - Playing the newer game informs my ability to play the previous one, as I gain insight into weapon mechanisms and multiplayer methods I didn't know about before. Apropos of nothing, I happen to have a spare copy of the game just in case I ever own more than one PSP unit, so I can sit and mess with multiplayer functions by myself. That's probably obsessive in an unhealthy way. Braid (PC) - Maybe. This is out on disk in the States, but something makes me think there's some horrible DRM implemented with it. I ought to just download the console version. -KKC, awash in new work assignments. -- --"I think I'm kind of like pennies. Plunderland (iPhone) - First impressions: Lovely presentation, shitting controls. Going to give it some more time, but it's a chore to play right now. Dark Void Zero (iPhone) - First impressions: A bit rubbish, despite all the glowing reviews. And the usual other bits and pieces. |

Tiger Woods 11 (360) I haven't played it yet and the 'exchange rate' was not exactly great, but it was a damn sight better (49euros) than the 37euros offered in Gamestop (they were offering 9.50euros for UC2!) I'm not in a big rush to play, but I figured it'll be the last non-b0rked PGA game for a while since the next few years will be spent configuring their various 'non-controller' methods of playing. Watch out Witty, I'll be better than you (well, near enough almost as good) in a month or two! Also, while my 360 is actually on, I plan on finally returning to Battlefield Bad Company 2 (360) I had a quick blast on Battlefield 1943 the other day on PS3 and was amazed at how bad I was. That's what 2 months of non-play does to ya. ![]() -Kevin. |

Bring it on! I've actually played this far less than any previous iterations at this stage in their lives, and am still struggling to score consistently well, so a bit of friendly competition might do me good! Also - the way stats are built up (and limited) in this game should mean that you'll have a competitive golfer within a few days play. > Also, while my 360 is actually on, I plan on finally returning to > > Battlefield Bad Company 2 (360) > I had a quick blast on Battlefield 1943 the other day on PS3 and was > amazed at how bad I was. That's what 2 months of non-play does to ya. Right. After months of relative online apathy/inactivity, I really am going to find you (and trooper? toad? skim? others?) and join up for a game or two of this. I need to kickstart myself out of console gaming lethargy and this seems like a good way to do it. Other than the above, I may well play: Limbo (360) Quite possibly the most beautiful game of this generation. Spooky as hell, too. I've only played for about half an hour so far, but I'm absolutely loving its minimalist charms. I spent a good chunk of that time desperately trying to balance and wobble a crate across a fly-infested pond before opening my mind to looking for a more sensible alternative. I don't care if this is a little short (as the completion percentage seems to suggest), because every second of it is wonderful. The Jim and Frank Mysteries: The Blood River Files (iPhone) Very near the end of this now, and it's 59 of the best pence I've ever spent. It really is almost as good as the Layton games, and has a similar level of polish. I'm hoping that there will be further adventures... FIFA 10 (360) My most played game of recent months by a country mile. As I'm off on my hols on Thursday I'll be trying to squeeze in a couple of outstanding 1v1 league fixtures over the weekend. I'm very, very sad that my holidays will mean that I'll miss two weeks of fixtures in the rllmuk 10v10 BAP league, as this is my favourite thing that involves a 360 these days, and something I genuinely look forward to each Thursday. ![]() -- Chris GT: SomethingWitty |

Got about 40 agility orbs left to find so I might see if I can tidy those up too. Plus some co-opping I expect. |

Or even as much. I think I am. TW11 (PS3) Thwack. Oh bugger. Thwack. Blast. A lot. Puzzle Quest 2 (DS) Some. It's good but I have too many mobile time wastes. When I only had the DS, I'd be playing this, and only this Android + iOS Various |

However, should I get a chance to actually sit down for five minutes, I'll be playing: Sam and Max S3E04 (PC) - came out earlier in the week, but I've been too tired to play it so far. Hope to make a sizeable dent in it this weekend. Nethack (PC) - Whoever it is here that keeps on banging on about it has made me dig it out again and I've been quietly playing it in the background for the last couple of days at work. I'm still yet to get much past level 6 or so and I keep dying of hunger (or, more precisely, fainting due to hunger and then getting beaten up by something embarassing like a grid bug). There's a lot to this game I still don't understand but I'm quite enjoying not understanding it. Sim City 4 (PC) - Came out on Steam, which has prompted me to start playing it. Again. Maybe something consolely too, but I doubt it. Enjoying it a lot. Monstar Huntar Tri (Wii) Thanks Much to Mr Choobs! Will try to give this a go at the weekend. deKay -- Lofi Gaming - http://lofi-gaming.org.uk Gaming Diary - http://lofi-gaming.org.uk/diary Blog - http://lofi-gaming.org.uk/blog My computer runs at 3.5MHz and I'm proud of that |

Will try to give this a go at the weekend. Have you played any of the previous games in the series? If not, I'm curious to know if your experience with Tri inspires you to try out any of the PSP versions. It wil either annoy the hell out of you, or stoke the fires of your OCD. -KKC, who tends towards the latter category. -- --"I think I'm kind of like pennies.
